Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - The Minnesota Vikings re-signed running back Matt Asiata to a one-year contract Tuesday.

Asiata, a restricted free agent, is coming off a career season in which he received an increased role due to Adrian Peterson's suspension. He rushed 164 times for 570 yards and nine touchdowns, while catching 44 passes for 312 yards and a score in 15 games (nine starts).

Over three seasons with the Vikings, the 27-year-old has ran 211 times for 745 yards and 12 touchdowns.
