Hammond, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Southeastern Louisiana won't have to wait next season in its pursuit of a third straight Southland Conference football title.

Coach Ron Roberts' squad will begin an 11-game schedule at Southland rival Northwestern State on Sept. 5. The Southland will be increasing to nine conference games in 2015, and Southeastern will open the season with a conference matchup for the first time since 1976.

Southeastern will visit the University of Ohio on Sept. 19 in search of its first win over an FBS team since the program's rebirth after an 18-year hiatus. Since 2003, the Lions are winless in 19 games versus the higher half of Division I football.

The Lions will play five home games, starting with a Sept. 12 matchup against Division II Florida Tech. They also will host Southland foes Lamar (Oct. 3), Stephen F. Austin (Oct. 17), Incarnate Word (Nov. 7) and Nicholls (Nov. 19).

This past season, Southeastern finished 9-4 with a share of the Southland title in addition to advancing to the FCS playoffs for the second consecutive season.
