Beau Beech hit 12-of-13 free throws and scored a career-high 19 points to lead North Florida to a 66-63 win over Savannah State Monday.

Free throws made the difference in a game that was tied at 61 with 32 seconds remaining.

North Florida's Demarcus Daniels made two free throws and Charles McRoy added a third to make it 64-61. Saadiq Muhammad answered from the line for Savannah State, making a pair to close the gap to 64-63.

A Travis Wallace turnover gave Savannah State (2-3) a chance for the lead but Deven Williams, who totaled 16 points, missed a 3-point jumper. Jalen Nessbitt pulled down the rebound and then made two free throws to seal the victory for the Ospreys (2-3).

Neither team opened a significant lead. Savannah State held a 29-27 advantage at the half. There were nine lead changes.
