Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Phillies placed pitcher Mike Adams on the 15-day disabled list with biceps tendinitis.
Adams is 1-4 with a 3.96 ERA in 28 games this season. The right-hander has been dealing with the injury for a few weeks.
The Phillies also selected the contract of pitcher J.C. Ramirez from Triple-A Lehigh Valley and designated infielder Michael Martinez for assignment.
Ramirez went 2-2 with two saves and a 6.53 ERA in 23 appearances with Lehigh Valley.
