A photo of an Oklahoma woman seemingly having it all while doing it all has elicited pats on the back from thousands of other women who have shared and liked the image on Facebook.
ThePostGame.com reported that the photo shows Dr. Megan Meier, a sports and dance medicine physician in Oklahoma City, tending to a football player on the sidelines of her high school team, Putnam City North, while carrying her 3-year-old on her back. Meier is also 35 weeks pregnant.
"Sports Medicine Doctor Mom— this is what happens when you are 35 weeks pregnant, husband leaves town for the weekend, childcare for 3yo falls through, and you have a game to cover!" she wrote in the caption for the photo, which has garnered nearly 6,000 likes, 300 comments and about 1,400 shares since being posted on Wednesday.
In a follow-up post on her public Facebook page, Meier explained that she shared the photo in a Facebook group for physician moms, and intended the photo to offer “a visual representation of what we all do each and every day.”
“I am overwhelmed by all the positive feedback and support the members of this group have given,” she wrote in the follow-up post. “I really believe that you can have it all and find a great balance to a multi-faceted career and life. However, it takes a lot of hard work and improvisation at times.”
