Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Brooklyn Nets forward Mirza Teletovic has been diagnosed with multiple blood clots in his lungs and will miss the remainder of the season.

Teletovic left Thursday's game against the Clippers and was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after experiencing shortness of breath. Tests, including a CT scan, revealed the blood clots.

The Nets on Friday said Teletovic will remain hospitalized and will undergo further tests while also being administered blood thinners. The use of blood thinners will force him to sit out the rest of the campaign.

In 40 games this season, Teletovic averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds. The third-year pro owns career averages of 7.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 165 games.
