Kate Gosselin's birthday video gives fans a tease of the boyfriend she's been keeping off camera

Kate Gosselin is giving fans a glimpse into how she celebrated her big birthday on Saturday.
In a video, shared on both Instagram and Facebook on March 30, the former reality star gave a play-by-play rundown on how she spent her 51st birthday with her boyfriend.
"Happy (belated) Birthday to me! What a fun day it was… even if I had to turn 51 😳!" she captioned the post.
The video begins with a photo of her sipping coffee in her kitchen, telling fans she "asked Steve to take pics of me throughout my birthday" and then shared photos depicting everything she did that day.

The photos featured her eating pancakes for breakfast, snuggling with her dog, going on a shopping spree, blowing out her birthday candles and having dinner with her boyfriend.
In the picture, her boyfriend Steve Neild's face is covered with a big happy face emoji. In response to fans in the comments section asking to see more of Neild, Kate responded, "He’s not always comfortable with it so I go with his wishes on being on here or not :)"

"Might be an unpopular opinion but after everything I am truly happy that you & Steve get to be together," one fan wrote in the comments section on Instagram. Another added, "You look so happy and in love!!"
Gosselin and Neild went public with their relationship in November 2025, when the former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star posted a series of photos of things and people she's "obsessed" with — one of which included her boyfriend, who also happens to be the family's former bodyguard.

The former reality star was previously married to Jon Gosselin for 10 years before they divorced in 2009. During their marriage, the two welcomed eight children together; twins Mady and Cara, 25, and sextuplets Alexis, Hannah, Leah, Collin, Joel and Aaden, 21.
At the time, rumors began swirling that Kate was having an affair with the bodyguard, which she denied.

"The next story coming out from the animals that stalk us is about our security person and his family," Kate previously told People, referring to Neild.

"Already the allegations they're making about me are disgusting, unthinkable, unfathomable, and I am horrified."
Prior to revealing Neild's identity on her Instagram stories, Kate confirmed she was seeing someone new during a Q&A on TikTok in September 2025.
During the Q&A, a fan asked if she was dating, and she said, "actually, finally yes." She then shared that she had been dating someone for 14-15 months, adding that she’s "super, super happy."

"It’s someone I’ve known for a really long time, and I am very, very happy," she continued. "He doesn’t really want to be on TikToks. Can’t blame him, I guess. But you, perhaps, will catch a peep of him going forward."
