Singapore Airlines says an Airbus A380 superjumbo flying from London to Singapore was forced to make an emergency landing in Baku, Azerbaijan, after cabin pressure dropped.

It says oxygen masks were deployed and none of the 467 passengers and 27 crew members on board was injured.

The airline said in a statement Monday it is seeking clearance from local authorities to transfer the passengers to a hotel until a replacement aircraft arrives from Singapore. It didn't say what caused the loss of cabin pressure. Airline officials couldn't immediately be reached for comment.

Singapore Airlines has 19 A380 superjumbo planes in its fleet, with five more on order.
