Four-time Pro Bowl running back Arian Foster is scheduled to work out for the Miami Dolphins on Monday and the Detroit Lions later in the week, ESPN reported Sunday.

Foster spent his first seven years in the NFL with the Houston Texans, who signed him as an undrafted free agent in 2009. The Texans' gamble more than paid off as Foster became one of the most feared running backs in the league, leading the NFL in rushing once and rushing TDs twice.

But the 29-year-old former All-Pro suffered a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 4 last year. The Texans released Foster in March, ending his tenure in Houston as the franchise's all-time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.
