San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Tomsula is anticipating that tight end Vernon Davis and linebacker Ahmad Brooks will return to the lineup for this weekend's game against the Baltimore Ravens.

Davis has sat out the past two games due to a knee injury while Brooks is away from the team to be with his family following the death of his sister.

Tomsula said Davis was close to returning for this past weekend's road game at the New York Giants but the team opted to leave him behind to receive more treatment. Davis had eight catches in the first two game and was blanked in Week 3 at Arizona.

The funeral for Brooks' sister is this week, according to Tomsula, who said the decision to rejoin the team is up to Brooks.

"When it comes to a family and this, I won't. I won't push on that," Tomsula said. "That's just, right, wrong or indifferent, that's just how I feel."
