    The winner is: WWII Letter

    AP ImageThe daughter of a World War II soldier is finally getting a letter from her father 70 years later. John Eddington wrote the letter while serving in Europe, but died before he could get back to meet his daughter. A woman found the letter along with Eddington's purple heart while cleaning out a family members attic 14 years ago. After a long search, she finally found Eddington’s daughter. The letter was returned to its rightful owner today.

     

    Runner Up: Sleeping on the Job

    AP ImageNASA is looking for a few good people willing to get paid for sitting in bed all day. Those picked for the study will have to lie in bed for 70 days straight without getting up. They will get paid $18,000 dollars for their time. Scientists say the experiment is being used to simulate the impact of long term space flight on the human body.

    AP ImageAn Australian mom got even with her teen for giving her attitude. The mother decided to take back the One Direction tickets she purchased for her daughter and her friends. She then posted them on eBay to sell, with a note that read, "I'm not your friend. I'm your mother. And I am here to give you the boundaries that you need to become a functional, responsible adult."
