Looking for the best current trends in beauty this season? MY Lifestyle Magazine has you covered! Top experts and influencers in the world of beauty joined excited readers and shoppers for a magical evening to discuss everything related to the latest in hair, makeup, skincare and much more.
The event on November 27th was MY Lifestyle Magazine’s first ever beauty panel discussion at Sephora’s Pro Store in New York City’s Meatpacking District celebrating the publication’s upcoming December 2012/January 2013 issue featuring Miss Universe 2011 Leila Lopes on the cover.
Moderated by MY Lifestyle Magazine Contributing Beauty Editor Jackson Simmonds, these six panelists were hand selected for their expertise: Sam Brocato, award-winning hairstylist and owner of Sam Brocato Salon; Yuko Takashashi, a makeup artist known for her work with the Miss Universe Organization; Joe Guzman, Director of Marketing for SHE USA; Claudio Pinto, Master Medical Aesthetician; Elizabeth Ortiz, President and CEO of MY Lifestyle Magazine; Joel Jaro, Psychotherapist and Inspirational Coach.
So what did the panelists say about what’s hot at this moment? For hair, it’s all about heavy fringes and dip-dyed hair. In the makeup category, bold, red lipstick is the look. And for the skin, Retin-A and Dermal Fillers.
But perhaps the most important lesson of the night came from panelist Joel Jaro, who noted that even though some people attractive on the outside, they don’t always feel good on this inside. That is why it is essential to nurture yourself spiritually, emotionally and physically, according to the experts.
“It’s very important to look good and take care of yourself,” said panelist Elizabeth Ortiz. “More important is the inner beauty. That’s what all the panelists agree on.”
The event was a hit and the first of many from MY Lifestyle Magazine. We are always on top of the latest tips and pointers for everything that has to do with living a healthy and fabulous lifestyle!
On a more serious note, our publication acknowledges Colombian Musician Juanes and Dominican singer Juan Luis Guerra for helping victims of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated the U.S. east coast in October and caused an estimated $32 billion in damage in New York State alone.
The superstar pair recently performed at the new Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn and all the proceeds from the show went to the American Red Cross. It was also a historic evening as it was the first Latin concert at the new venue. Congratulations to these two icons for giving back to those who need help!
