Man suspected of killing 3 people in Indiana found dead, police say

A man wanted for the deaths of three people in southern Indiana was found dead inside a pickup truck Monday, police said.

Police had been searching for Richard Lee Burton Jr., 47, after they discovered three bodies in a home in Washington County about 4:30 p.m Sunday, police said. Officers were conducting a welfare check at the time.

Officials named Burton a person of interest shortly after the gruesome discovery. Sunday night's investigation led police to believe he was "responsible for the deaths." Burton was also living at the home at the time.
