Pope Francis and President Trump--two of the most recognizable people in the world-- met for 30 minutes in the Vatican Wednesday where the two likely discussed topics from immigration to Monday's terror attack in the U.K.
Trump was joined by his wife, his daughter Ivanka, her husband Jared Kushner and U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.
Once the two shook hands, they were led into the pope's private study and were seated across from one another. Trump told the pope it was "a very great honor."
The man British police say blew himself up as a packed concert was letting out in Manchester, England Monday night is believed to have traveled to Syria and had "proven" links with ISIS.
France's interior minister Gerard Collomb said Wednesday that British and French intelligence have information that Salman Abedi, 22, had been to Syria, although it is unclear if he was apart of a larger network of attackers.
Collomb spoke with British Prime Minister Theresa May and said the two countries should continue cooperating closely on counterterrorism efforts despite Britain's pending exit from the European Union.
House Speaker Paul Ryan, R-Wis., praised President Trump's budget blueprint Tuesday night, telling Fox News' "The Story with Martha MacCallum" that "the aspiration and the goal is right on the target."
The blueprint drawn up by OMB Director Mick Mulvaney has been criticized by Democrats and Republicans alike for its proposed $3.6 trillion cuts from an array of benefit programs, domestic agencies and war spending over the next decade. Those proposed cuts include more than $600 billion in Medicaid payments and $191 billion in food stamp benefits.
