Officials: Suspect killed, officer wounded in shooting in Oregon

Officials say an officer was wounded and the suspect was killed in a shooting in Oregon on Friday night.

Officials reported that officers were investigating the male suspect for a DUII related incident when the shooting occurred in a Walmart parking lot in Dallas, Oregon.

The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.

The officer was reportedly shot in the leg.

Dallas City Councilman Micky Garus posted on Facebook saying the officer was expected to be fine. He said in the post that the “officer is okay and receiving care at a hospital.”
