A former JetBlue flight attendant who tried to smuggle 60 pounds of cocaine through Los Angeles International Airport and then made a dash to escape has pleaded guilty to a federal charge.
Marsha Gay Reynolds entered the plea Monday to conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine. She faces at least 10 years in federal prison.
The 32-year-old is a former Jamaican beauty queen who lived in Queens, New York.
In a plea agreement, Reynolds said she'd smuggled cocaine nine times through security at LAX and John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York.
The scheme ended in March when she was flagged for secondary screening at LAX. She left her cocaine-filled carry-on bags, kicked off her Gucci high heels and bolted down an upward-moving escalator.
Reynolds worked a JetBlue flight to New York the next day but later surrendered.
