Three teens have been arrested on arson and burglary charges for an upstate New York high school field house fire that destroyed $70,000 worth of athletic equipment.

The field house at Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons High School in Schenectady was destroyed in the early morning blaze on Oct. 21.

Three teens, ages 17, 18 and 19, were to be arraigned in city court Friday. It could not immediately be determined if they had lawyers.

School officials say replacing the sports equipment could cost $70,000 or more while rebuilding the field house could cost $500,000.

The fire prompted an outpouring of support and donations from the community, including several other high school football teams.
