A man charged with killing his two children and two stepchildren at the family's home in suburban Detroit has been jailed without bond.

Gregory V. Green also is accused of torturing his wife Wednesday by tying her up, cutting her face and shooting her in the foot before fatally shooting her two teenage children in front of her at their home in Dearborn Heights.

Green made an initial court appearance Thursday and told a judge that he didn't deserve bond. He wasn't accompanied by an attorney.

Green is accused of killing his 4-year-old and 5-year-old daughters with carbon monoxide poisoning. Police have said he confessed to the killings during a 911 call.

His wife, Faith Green, survived her injuries. She filed for divorce in August.

A Detroit-area man who served 16 years in prison for killing his first wife has been charged with killing his two children and two stepchildren, and attacking his wife.

Charges were filed Thursday against Gregory V. Green, a day after his daughters, ages 4 and 5, died of carbon monoxide poisoning and his teenage stepchildren were fatally shot at the family's Dearborn Heights home.

Green also is accused of attacking his wife, Faith Green, who is the mother of all four children. Authorities say she was shot and cut but survived. She recently filed for divorce.

They married in 2010, two years after Gregory Green left prison. He pleaded no contest to killing his first wife in 1991.

Green will appear in court Thursday. He doesn't yet have an attorney.
