LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. – Authorities are asking anyone who attended an annual boaters' party on an Adirondack lake to check their images of the event to see if they include a man involved in a fatal boating accident hours later.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said 24-year-old Alexander West was operating a 22-foot motor boat that ran over another boat Monday night near Lake George's west shore, killing a 9-year-old vacationing California girl and injuring her mother.
Officials said West kept going and docked his boat at a resort. He has been questioned by police but hasn't been charged.
Investigators are seeking any video or photos of Monday's Log Bay Day party that may include West and his boat. The party, held on the last Monday in July, attracts hundreds of people for a day of partying on boats and other vessels.
