BUFFALO, N.Y. – Police say one person is dead and another has been injured after a shooting at the Buffalo bar widely credited with inventing the spicy chicken wings now known everywhere as Buffalo-style wings.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. at the Anchor Bar.
Police say shots rang out in the kitchen and two people were hit. They say one person has died and the other was grazed with a bullet. That person's condition wasn't immediately known.
Police say the shooting appears to be a targeted incident, but they provided no further information.
It wasn't immediately clear if a suspect had been taken into custody
The Anchor Bar began serving their chicken wings in 1964.
