HOUSTON – Investigators looking for the body of a missing 17-year-old girl near Houston are being helped by a man who is connected to that death and to a University of North Texas student who's been missing since 1997.
The Galveston Daily News reports (http://bit.ly/1UKsElR ) that the Texas Rangers-led team searching in rural Houston for the body of Jessica Cain, who disappeared in 1997, also recently searched a field in Brazoria County for the remains of the college student, 20-year-old Kelli Ann Cox, who also disappeared in 1997.
William Reece, who was convicted in a 1997 Houston-area kidnapping, is connected to both Cain's and Cox's deaths, but no charges have been filed.
In September he was charged in Oklahoma in the 1997 abduction and slaying of a 19-year-old woman.
