An off-duty New York State narcotics police officer cop shot two drinking pals during a struggle over his gun on a New York City street, according to reports Saturday.

Police said the officer’s gun went off when he tried to wrestle it back from a 31-year-old woman who had asked to hold it outside a bar on Manhattan’s upper West Side Friday around 9 p.m., the New York Post reported.  Patrons in the bar on Amsterdam scrambled for cover at the sound of gunfire.

A police source told The Daily News everyone involved ‘is really drunk.’

The bullet ricocheted off the street and struck the woman in the foot and then struck her 42-year-old boyfriend in the shin. Cops disarmed the officer at the scene.

WABC-TV said the officer involved was Victor Zambrano, 49, of New York City, a member of the New York State Bureau of Narcotics. He is being charged with criminal possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and two counts of assault, the station said.
