Authorities in the Swiss city of Geneva have evacuated a Russia-bound plane following a bomb threat.

Geneva prosecutors said about 1 p.m. a man presented himself at an airline counter at Geneva Airport and indicated that a bomb was aboard an Aeroflot jet ready to take off for Moscow. The aircraft was called back and the passengers were disembarked. Nobody was hurt.

The statement said police explosives experts are examining the airplane to see whether explosives are present.

The man who made the threat was arrested by police. An investigation has been launched.
