Kevin Love came into the NBA from UCLA weighing 255 pounds with a high body fat percentage of over 12 percent, but after a few years in the NBA, Love was up to 265. Love started to take dieting and nutrition very seriously during his time in Minnesota, and dropped 25 pounds before the lockout-shortened season.
In Cleveland, Love has his own personal chef and abides by a strict plant-based diet - which his Cavaliers teammates ruthlessly pick on him for.

'Kev had two bran muffins and a banana with skim milk,' Cavs forward Richard Jefferson says. 'He eats like an 80-year-old lady who's trying make sure she's regular.'"
While Love has become arguably the most-criticized player on the Cavs' roster, he said earlier this week that he's never been on a team that's closer than the Cavaliers are - so the quips about his diet are all in good fun.
"Love often transports his own meals -- a pair of kale salads and grilled chicken -- on the team plane rather than be tempted by a postgame spread that might be high in calories and carbohydrates. The ribbing, he says, comes with the territory.
'They look at [me] kind of funny when I walk in with a Whole Foods bag or something,'' Love says. "That's not generally the best thing to do when you've got a group of teammates that'll clown on you.'"
