NEW YORK (AP) The Rams' on-field return to Los Angeles begins with a preseason game against Dallas. On national television.

The first weekend of exhibition games, from Aug. 11-15, also will feature the Super Bowl champion Denver Broncos at the Chicago Bears. A date for Broncos-Bears that weekend has not yet been set.

In releasing its preseason schedule Thursday, the NFL also announced other national TV games:

Green Bay vs. Indianapolis on Aug. 7 in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio; Atlanta at Miami on Aug. 25; Cleveland at Tampa Bay on Aug. 26; Tennessee at Oakland on Aug. 27; and a tripleheader on Aug. 28 of San Diego at Minnesota, Arizona at Houston, and Cincinnati at Jacksonville.

''We are excited to open the preseason on a national stage here in Los Angeles,'' Rams coach Jeff Fisher said. ''This is a historic year and we can't wait to get in front of the fans for the first time at the Coliseum.''

The Vikings' game with the Chargers will be the first at their new U.S. Bank Stadium and has a 1 p.m. EDT kickoff.

Atlanta begins its final season at the Georgia Dome by playing an exhibition match with Washington on the opening weekend.

There are no nationally televised games scheduled for the fourth and final week of the preseason.
