On the latest edition of the Great MMA Debate podcast, Matt Brown and Damon Martin break down the events at UFC 193, including Holly Holm's stunning knockout over Ronda Rousey in the main event.

Brown said in the days leading up to the fight that Holm would be Rousey's toughest test for a multitude of reasons, and she was all that and more as she took out the former champion with a vicious head kick less than one minute into the second round.

Now that the loss has happened and Rousey's unbeaten streak is broken, Brown believes this is where the world will truly see what she's made of.

"Now we find out if she was everything that they said that she was," Brown said about Rousey.

Brown has gone through adversity in his own career but he looks at former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre as somebody whom Rousey could relate to in regards to losing on the biggest stage and then coming back even better than before.

St-Pierre suffered a knockout loss to Matt Serra at UFC 69 in 2007 at a time when he was already being touted as the fighter pegged to be the greatest welterweight to step into the Octagon. Following the defeat, St-Pierre fixed what went wrong in the previous fight, repaired the flaws in his game and when he returned he never lost another.

"I've said it a million times, I've probably learned more from Georges St-Pierre than anybody else and that's part of the reason. He lost," Brown said. "What we do as fighters when we go out into the cage, under those lights, in front of millions of people is we expose every vulnerability of our being. Georges was exposed. We found out where he was weak, we found out, he was humiliated in front of all these people and he came back stronger, better and more dominant than ever before. That is the mark of a champion."

Does Rousey have that same desire and drive to come back even stronger than before?

That's the question as she embarks on the journey back to the UFC following her loss. Also up for debate is the role Rousey's life outside the Octagon played in her performance, the coaching she received for the fight and much more.
