The Redskins could get Ryan Kerrigan back in Week 9. Mitch Stringer USA TODAY Sports

Washington Redskins outside linebacker is practicing on Monday despite undergoing surgery on a fractured hand less than two weeks ago.

The Redskins' star defensive player was doing work in individual drills, per CSN Washington's Tarik El-Bashir. He did not participate in any team drills yet, and the Redskins will likely take it slow with Kerrigan until the end of the week.

Kerrigan is tentatively expected to play in the Redskins' Week 9 game against the New England Patriots.
