ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) Buffalo Bills receiver Sammy Watkins says he's learned the hard way to stop and think before posting messages out of frustration on social media.

Watkins apologized to fans for posting a message on his Instagram account last week in which he called his critics ''losers'' and suggested they wished they were in his position while ''working y'all little jobs.''

He says he realized how wrong his comments were before deleting the message. Watkins called it unprofessional and something he'll never do again.

Watkins spoke at his locker on Monday after the Bills returned to practice following their bye week off. Watkins said he reacted out of frustration because Buffalo (3-4) has lost two straight, and he's missed three of the past four games with an assortment of injuries.
