The Chicago Bears have dug deep into their defensive rotation, as D-coordinator Vic Fangio has spread plenty of snaps around to all of his reserves.

Only one player has been on the field for all of Chicago's defensive snaps this season, and the name might surprise you.

According to Adam Jahns of the Chicago Sun-Times, it's linebacker Shea McClellin.

McClellin leads the team in tackles with 28 (14 solo, one for a loss) through four games. He has yet to record a sack or an interception, but those are bound to come if he continues to log such a high snap count.

McClellin's success is surprising since he has struggled to catch on with the Bears after they drafted him with the 19th-overall pick in 2012. Fangio may have finally found a permanent home for him at inside linebacker in Chicago's new 3-4 defense. Defensive end and outside linebacker did not suit McClellin well in the team's old 4-3 scheme.
