Statistically speaking, Chiefs fans could be watching one of the team's worst defensive groups.

It's tough to reconcile that fact with the team's immense talent on that side of the ball. But they've allowed more points per game than any Chiefs team since 1987, according to statistics compiled by ESPN's Adam Teicher.

One caveat: In 1987, The team used scrub players as its regular players went on strike. These Chiefs are playing worse than the replacements.

Both Aaron Rodgers and Andy Dalton carved their defense up to the tune of 321 passing yards. And the team is set to surrender exactly 500 points -- 60 points worse than the 2-14 Chiefs managed in their dismal 2008 season.
