After falling to the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 20-3 on Monday Night Football, defensive end Everson Griffen was clear about what the Minnesota Vikings must do next.

"I'm going to say one thing," Griffen said, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. "We got to go back to the classroom and get better. That's the only way you're going to show improvement. Go the classroom and improve on your mistakes and get better. That's all you can do."

Griffen's struggles against the 49ers were some of Minnesota's worst. Pro Football Focus pinned three missed tackles on him and gave him the lowest grade on the team (minus-4.8), according to the Pioneer Press.

"They outplayed us, they out-tempoed us," Griffen said, via the Pioneer Press. "It is what it is. They played a better game than us. We just got to go into the classroom and improve on all the mistakes we made."

Griffen and the rest of his teammates can't start studying soon enough, for the 49ers made the Vikings look like dunces on Monday Night.
