DENVER (AP) The lawyer for John Bowlen, the 29-year-old son of the Denver Broncos owner, has been granted more time to review his client's domestic violence case.

Bowlen and attorney Harvey Steinberg will appear again in Arapahoe County District Court on Aug. 24.

The younger Bowlen was arrested this summer after allegedly pushing his girlfriend during an argument in Glendale. He was arrested on suspicion of third-degree assault and harassment.

He is on indefinite leave from his job with the Broncos as a marketing assistant.

The Broncos were one of the first teams in the NFL to conduct mandatory domestic violence training for all employees. They held sessions at both their suburban headquarters and at their stadium near downtown, where the younger Bowlen is based.
