It's no surprise the Pittsburgh Penguins have the leading goal scorer in the playoffs. The surprise it that it's not superstars Sidney Crosby or Evgeni Malkin but veteran forward Pascal Dupuis.

The unheralded Dupuis has found the net an NHL-high six times through seven postseason games, including a short-handed goal that capped a 4-1 win over Ottawa in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals Tuesday.

Dupuis says his confidence level is at an all-time high after a productive regular season in which he scored 20 goals in just 48 games. Dupuis rarely works on Pittsburgh's potent power play. Instead he scores most of his points at even strength, finding his way to open spaces or getting to the front of the net for rebounds.

Game 2 is Friday night.
