Port Charlotte, FL – Former first-overall draft pick Matt and-run accident that seriously injured a year-old man.
Alcohol is reported to be a factor in the accident.
Bush, who the San Diego Padres selected with the No. 1 pick of the 2004 draft, has previously been arrested on alcohol-related charges and has spent time in rehab.
The 26-year-old reportedly struck the back of Anthony Tufano's motorcycle with his SUV and ran over the man's head before fleeing the scene.
Tufano was wearing a helmet, which saved his life. He was first taken to Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, FL before being transported to Lee Memorial Hospital Trauma Center in Fort Myers, FL.
Bush is being charged with fleeing the scene with serious injuries, driving with a suspended license with serious injuries, DUI with serious injuries and DUI with property damage.
