NFLPA keeps DeMaurice Smith as executive director

Washington, DC – DeMaurice Smith was unanimously reaffirmed as executive director by the NFL Players Association on Thursday, according to the official Twitter account of the NFLPA.

"Congratulations to De Smith being reelected unanimously to executive director of NFLPA for 3 more yrs," Cardinals kicker Jay Feely tweeted.

Less than a year ago, Smith guided the NFLPA through the lockout.

Smith has held the position of executive director since 2009.
