The Cleveland Cavaliers inked guard Ben Uzoh day contract Friday, a move necessitated by the absence of first- overall pick Kyrie Irving due to a concussion.

The 23-year-old averaged 16.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 12 games with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA Development League.

Uzoh, a Tulsa product, appeared in 42 games with the Nets last season, turning in 3.8 points, 1.6 assists and 1.5 rebounds per contest.
