Keane completes loan move to Aston Villa

Carson, CA – The Los Angeles Galaxy confirmed Thursday that striker Robbie Keane will head to the English Premier League to join Aston Villa on loan ahead of the Major League Soccer season.

Keane, 31, is in familiar territory having previously enjoyed Premier League stints with Coventry City, Leeds United, Tottenham, and Liverpool.

The Irish international will remain with the Villans until the end of February before joining his national team for a friendly against the Czech Republic in Dublin. He will then meet up with the Galaxy prior to their CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal against Toronto FC on March 7.
