David Ndoumba and Brandon Fortenberry each scored 24 points and Southeastern Louisiana defeated McNeese State 81-74 Wednesday night.

Ndoumba added 10 rebounds as the Lions (14-13, 8-7 Southland Conference) ended McNeese State's three-game winning streak, its 14-game home winning streak and swept the season series. The Lions led by 11 early in the second half, but the Cowboys used an 18-4 run for a 55-52 advantage with 9:52 left. The teams traded a pair of baskets before the Lions reclaimed the lead for good.

The Lions went on a 14-2 run to go up 70-61 with 2:44 to go as Fortenberry completed a three-point play.

Patrick Richard had 21 points, C.J. Collins 17 and P.J. Alowoya had 14 with 18 rebounds for the Cowboys (18-10, 10-5). They remained alone in first place in the conference's East Division as Northwestern State missed a chance to tie, losing to Nicholls State.
