LOS ANGELES -- Drew Doughty, with the first goal of his playoff career and three assists, was named the game's second star Monday as the Los Angeles Kings held on for a 5-3 victory over the Vancouver Canucks in Game 3 of their Western Conference Quarterfinal series.
"They're a great team," Doughty said of the Canucks. "But we came on late, and if we keep playing like we did tonight, we're going to win the series.
"Last year, and a couple of times this year, we let teams back in the game, let them score a couple of late goals when we were up," he added. "Tonight, we let them get that one but we got that fifth goal."
Doughty's first-period power-play goal tied the game after Vancouver's Mason Raymond opened the scoring. Los Angeles went 3-for-3 with the man advantage in Game 3.

A third-period goal for the Canucks was disallowed after it was determined that Daniel Sedin's foot was moving in a distinct kicking motion.
"Huge," Doughty said. "A momentum changer for us. We were all excited on our bench. If that would have counted, it wouldn't have been the same. I don't know if it should have been a goal or not, but we're pretty happy it didn't (count)."
