    Tale of the Tape

NBC News is apologizing for the way it presented the 911 call made by George Zimmerman following what he says was the self-defense shooting of African-American teenager Trayvon Martin.

The network edited the call to indicate Zimmerman claimed Martin was -- quote -- "up to no good" -- then immediately said -- "he looks black."

In reality, Zimmerman only gave Martin's race after being asked by the dispatcher.

NBC News blames an error in the production process.

    Word Games

President Obama took a dig at GOP candidate Mitt Romney Tuesday, for describing the Paul Ryan budget plan as "marvelous."

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: ...which is a word you don't often hear when it comes to describing a budget. It's a word you don't often hear generally.

    (LAUGHTER)

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

The president was clearly amused by Romney's use of the word, a word Politico first pointed out, the president has chosen to use himself several times before.

    (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

OBAMA: It is right for us to celebrate Dr. King's marvelous oratory...

OBAMA: Indeed our marvelous surroundings today...

    (END VIDEO CLIP)

And when talking about the first lady, president Obama said -- quote -- "she's doing a marvelous job."

    Let the Big Dog Eat

Finally, Seattle's Russ Berkman found out his dog Sierra's bite is much worse than her bark after the Swiss mountain dog ate his four tickets to the Masters Golf Tournament. That's this week.

Berkman managed to get the dog to throw up and then pieced the tickets back together.

Tournament officials agreed to reprint those tickets, though Sierra is still in the dog house.
