A recent technical glitch eliminating spending limits on debit cards used for food stamps resulted in a shopping frenzy in Walmart stores in Louisiana. Shelves were cleared and police had to be called in to take control those who were taking advantage of the spending spree. The EBT cards, issued to those receiving government food stamps, were reportedly disabled for approximately two hours.
