The Buck Stops Where?

President Obama's claims that his hands are tied when it comes to getting Congress to act on key issues, appear to be falling on deaf ears, even among mainstream and left-leaning journalists and columnists.

Yesterday, the president said quote -- "Things are pretty dysfunctional on Capitol Hill right now."

In a column titled "A Presidential Bystander" -- Dana Milbank of the Washington Post agrees on the dysfunction but adds that the president's -- quote -- "...stance was frustratingly passive...It's the president's job to lead, and to bang heads if necessary."

Quote -- "It's called leadership" -- says the New York Times' Maureen Dowd. "He still thinks he'll do his thing from the balcony and everyone else will follow along below. That's not how it works."

Ron Fournier of the National Journal writes -- quote -- "Even if you concede to Obama every point...a president looks weak and defeated when he shifts accountability to forces out of his control."

Action News

Organizing for Action (OFA) purports to advocate for the president's second-term agenda. Apparently, that includes launching protests against those who happen to disagree with the president.

OFA  took to the streets of New Hampshire at the end of April for an impassioned protest against Republican Senator Kelly Ayotte for voting against expanding background checks for gun sales.

Fox News has obtained these pictures from that protest. One sign, splattered in what appears to be fake blood, reads -- quote -- "More shot in one day than Marathoned."

And finally, call it incentive to stay with your company for the long haul.

A realtor in New York City is offering employees 15 percent pay raises if they get a tattoo of the company logo.

So far, 40 employees have cashed in. 

One person with no company ink though -- the boss.

He says he'll get his tattoo, eventually.
