Jennifer Lawrence debuted a new look on the red carpet this weekend.
The 22-year-old Oscar-winning actress arrived at the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles with her hair cut into a chic "lob," or long bob. With stylists claiming it's a look that works on everyone, it's no wonder it's favored by many A-listers.
“She didn’t want the conventional asymmetrical bob (shorter in the back, longer in the front),” celebrity stylist Mark Townsend told Harper’s Bazaar. “She wanted tons of layers — so when we went with a full-on shag, with bangs and a lot of fame framing layers. I loosened up the ends by chopping into them with thinning shears. As I cut, I lost track of how many times she said 'I love it!'”
Townsend also reveals that not only is this the shortest Lawrence has gone with her hair, but the cut is ideal for keeping the rising temperatures that's to come at bay.
“She doesn’t have to worry about keeping frizz down,” adds Townsend. “She can just rock her natural texture.”
