Those hoping to get a nice fluffy McGriddle or a biscuit at McDonald’s for dinner will be out of luck.
Following the chain's last month’s announcement that it will soon test an all-day breakfast menu, McDonald's all-day menu will be limited to just nine breakfast items, reports BurgerBusiness.com.
McDonald's begins its test next week in San Diego, but morning meals after 10:30 am will only include these items: McMuffins (Egg, Sausage, Sausage with Egg), Sausage Burrito, Hash Browns, Hotcakes, Hotcakes and Sausage, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal and Fruit ‘N Yogurt Parfait.
These will be offered alongside Big Macs and McNuggets and McCafe drinks.
The nine test items are essentially the same breakfast foods included in 2013 in the“McDonald’s After Midnight” test menu, a mix of breakfast and lunch/dinner items (Big Mac, Quarter Pounder, Double Quarter Pounder, Chicken McNuggets and a few others) offered between midnight and 4 a.m.
Along with McGriddles and biscuits, other items that will not be available all-day include Cinnamon Coffee Cake, Double Chocolate Bundt Cake, or Steak, Egg, & Cheese Bagel.
The limited menu could be due to operational issues because each restaurant has a limited amount of grill space.
This is the latest menu reshuffle as McDonald’s tries to turn around sagging sales.
