'Real Housewives of NJ' star Joe Giudice's dad dies in his garden

The father of "Real Housewives of New Jersey" star Joe Giudice collapsed and died in his son’s garden while building a chicken coop, TMZ reports.

Frank Giudice, who appeared on the show several times, was 63.

"The ONLY focus of both Joe and Teresa is their family right now, especially the girls,” a family rep said in a statement to the website. “No decisions about the court case or the show are being addressed today."

Joe and Teresa Guidice pled guilty in March to defrauding the government. Theresa faces up to 27 months in prison. Joe faces up to 46 months and could be deported to Italy.
