Special Counsel Robert Mueller's highly anticipated report on the Russia investigation will likely be just "the beginning" of a broader effort to attack the president by congressional Democrats, "Special Report" All-Stars said on Tuesday.
"This will be the beginning basically for Democrats," Washington Examiner correspondent Susan Ferrechio told host Bret Baier. Her comments came just days before the Justice Department is expected to release its report on the investigation into the president's 2020 campaign.
"It will be fodder for their probes, and I expect that to continue for the rest of his first term," she added.
Both Ferrechio and David Brody, chief political analyst for the Christian Broadcasting Network, expected Democrats to bypass any claims exonerating Trump, and to "mine" the report for damaging information.

"I think Democrats are going to turn into a bunch of Robert Muellers on Thursday," Brody remarked. "In other words, they'll be their own special counsel."
Ferrechio added that Democrats would "mine this thing for any impropriety they can find — within the administration, within the campaign, anything about Trump — and use it to help fuel their own investigations."
Congressional Democrats demanded Attorney General Bill Barr release Mueller's full report, apparently dissatisfied with his brief summary claiming that Mueller had found no evidence of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and Russia.

A Justice Department official previously told Fox News that the full Mueller report was more than 300 pages long, an indication that Democrats could have a lot of material to work with when it's released.
Also, the released report will contain redactions, a revision that Democrats strongly opposed.
