Larry Hernandez's alleged victim speaks out, says 'narco' singer threatened to kill him

The man whom narco-corrido singer Larry Hernandez allegedly kidnapped and assaulted in South Carolina said the singer threatened his life several times before he could escape.
In an interview with Telemundo, concert promoter Jose Andrade said he feared for his life and that of his family during the incident with Hernandez in August.
“I was not his promoter. At no time did I speak to him to come to South Carolina,” he said in a Spanish-language interview. “I was in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
Hernandez, 38, was arrested at the LA/Ontario International Airport last week on an outstanding warrant alleging that he kidnapped Andrade after reportedly becoming angry because he was not paid the amount promised for his performance.
According to a police report, Hernandez was upset that he was only being paid $14,000 for a concert and demanded $30,000 before attacking the man. The man told police that Hernandez and two other people wrapped him in plastic wrap and beat him in a parking lot before unwrapping him and taking him to a hotel room where they continued to hit him.
Hernandez, who was born in Los Angeles, is known for singing narco-corridos, a subgenre of the Mexican norteño-corrido which is popular on both sides of the U.S,–Mexican border. The lyrics tend to speak of illegal activities, mainly drug trafficking.
Andrade told Telemundo that he seeks justice and that “if this has happened to someone else, they should not remain silent.”
Last week a California judge ordered Hernandez extradited to Newberry, S.C. to stand trial.
Andrade said he wants to be present at the trial, to see what the singer has to say “with me present there, knowing what he did.”
