Two former University of Connecticut students who faced arson charges have pleaded guilty to a reduced charge for setting fire to an apartment building off campus in 2015.

Logan Rama, of New Milford, and David Kuhn, of Sherman, pleaded guilty to reckless burning Friday in Rockville Court.

The Hartford Courant reports they were originally charged with first-degree arson and other charges. Both are 20 years old.

Witnesses told investigators Rama and Kuhn threatened the Carriage House apartment buildings after they got kicked out of a party.

There were no injuries, but the fire caused thousands of dollars in damages.

Both face up to five years in prison, suspended after two years. Prosecutors say neither had a prior criminal record.

They were roommates until they left the university in 2015.
