A disgruntled customer opened fire at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Florida, hitting the manager before speeding off, police say.

Altamonte Springs Police department said the man was placing his order a 24-hour McDonald's on Wednesday night when he started arguing with the manager at the window, Fox 35 Orlando reported.

The incident quickly escalated and the suspect opened fire, wounding the manager before speeding away.

The manager, who has not been identified, was taken to a nearby hospital. He is reportedly in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

Police said several hours later Volusia County Sherriff’s Office reported that a man had turned himself in for a similar sounding crime. The suspect is being questioned, but has not been arrested for a crime.
