For 98-year-old Leo Kellner of Nebraska, baking is more than just a pastime or personal hobby.
It’s something he began doing when he lost his wife after 72 years of marriage.
"After I lost my wife, I didn't know what to do. So I said, ‘well, I can bake.’ So I started baking," Kellner told Nebraska.TV.
The first year he started baking, he made more than 100 apple pies. The following year, he added cakes to the menu.
You might think he has built a lucrative business, but you’d be wrong.
Everything he bakes he gives away for free.
He’s baked for a wide range of people, including the sick and other widows. He even bakes sugar-free concoctions that are for diabetics.
"Everything I do, I do it with love,” Kellner told Nebraska.TV. “That's my secret ingredient is love."
